From the Expert: Tanis Confectionery

Richard Blom, Sales Director EMEA at Tanis Confectionery discusses looking back on Prosweets/ISM 2024 and how the business is looking ahead while building on 25 years of innovating in the confectionery space

ProSweets 2024 which ran from 28-31 January in Cologne, Germany, brought together an international congregation of suppliers for the sweets and snacks industry, as 248 exhibitors from 30 countries brought their expertise and industry know-how to the trade fair. Major topics covered at the show included the growing offer of high-quality nutraceuticals as fruit gums and boiled sweets represent a more significant market share; a new generation of systems for powderless production and the importance of hygienic machines to support this growing nutraceutical market.

Among them was Tanis Confectionery, who was well represented at ProSweets this year. With a wealth of knowledge in manufacturing equipment for gums and jellies, the concepts presented at their booth showed how we are keenly attuned to trends and customer requirements in the global confectionery market.

At our booth in Hall 10.1, C019 and exuding warmth, the Dutch machine builder for the confectionery industry presented the entry-level skid, the 400s. This low-capacity, semi-automatic production line is a perfect (entry level) solution for manufacturing gummies and jellies containing functional ingredients. Comprised of the highest quality equipment, the Tanis 400S NS achieves accurately dosed, consistently homogenized ingredient mixtures while streamlining candy manufacturing.

Whether you want to start in the nutraceutical gums industry or if you’re an entrepreneur in the cannabis industry considering gummy candy as a delivery system, Tanis has the equipment to grow with you. Starting with a depositor combined with silicone moulds, you can then progress to working with an automatic demoulder in conjunction with polycarbonate moulds. After these investments, you can further expand to a setup with a professional kitchen for an even higher capacity. To scale up even more, Tanis Conditioning Rooms can be added as the final step. Our equipment grows with you step by step.

In addition to this compact yet versatile kitchen skid, the One-concept was extensively showcased. Guiding the candy producer in the quest for the perfect sweet is central here. A total solution is offered for the production of gums and jellies, from the kitchen for the entire cooking process to depositing, conditioning and demoulding. All executed by one reliable supplier, working passionately as a team to fulfill the sweetest dreams. This applies to both the confectionery, nutraceutical, and recreational markets.

Tanis production lines are always tailor-made. We believe in the power of unity. With one common goal and one integrated total solution, we build a sustainable relationship and create a shared future with the customer. By integrating the four production stages of gummies and jellies into one comprehensive solution, we achieve your goal of producing candy even more efficiently. As a family business, we understand the importance of engagement and loyalty. These values are deeply rooted in the company…
