For the first time in its history, Ferrero is entering the premium chocolate bars category: Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello’s taste experience can now be enjoyed beyond special occasions one square at a time.
The special taste of two of the company’s most iconic brands is now available in the shape of a 90g bar with seven delicious chocolatey flavours to choose from. Their launch into the fast-growing premium chocolate bars category will reinforce Ferrero’s competitive position within the premium chocolate market.
When Ferrero Rocher was launched in 1982 and Raffaello in 1990, the company said its desire was to make quality patisserie specialities accessible to a much wider public. Now, they are going a step further and offering two symbols of Ferrero’s quality and excellence in a new multi-sensory experience.
For over three years, a team of 50 people have worked to develop more than 300 types of recipes before finding the desired balance of taste and texture for a new way to experience Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello. Now, they can offer premium chocolate bars that perfectly reflect the quality that lovers of Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello appreciate.
Each square of the new bars is crafted to take consumers on a delicious chocolate journey. The gentle dome on top of the square recalls the distinctive shape of our two iconic products and it is an invitation to discover the different layers inside: a refined chocolate base supporting a soft and creamy filling, covered with a top layer of chocolate mixed with crunchy pieces of hazelnuts or almonds.
Ferrero Premium Bars come in seven flavours, each made with carefully selected quality ingredients and different chocolate varieties. The Ferrero Rocher Bars include milk, 55% dark and white chocolate combined with hazelnuts, almonds and salted caramel flavour, while the Raffaello ones are made of white chocolate blended with coconut, almonds and pineapple. The new Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello Bars will start to be available in the UK from August 2021 and will be progressively rolled out in several markets across Europe. They will also be available outside of Europe during 2022.
