Divi’s will present beta-carotene at FiE

Divi’s Nutraceuticals is presenting beta-carotene to give applications a red colour at Food ingredients Europe, adding a new product to its portfolio of beta-carotene forms.

Divi’s offers its customers specialty forms of beta-carotene to suit a range of applications including supplements, beverages, gummies, cereal products and ice cream, among others. To help marketers answer demand for additive-free foods and beverages, silicon dioxide-free beta-carotene forms are available.

CaroNat is a naturally sourced food ingredient for the dark yellow to orange colouration of a variety of foods and beverages. CaroNat is made from concentrated caroot juice and contains beta-carotene. Offering ingredients of natural origin and manufactured without adding silicon dioxide, the company is supporting brands in their transition to clean labels.

As some consumers are increasingly concerned about artificial colours, they are seeking more natural options, driving demand for additive-free foods and beverages. Made from natural ingredients and delivering the desirable appearance of the final product, CaroNat allows claims such as no artificial colour/ingredient, vegetarian or vegan.

At the upcoming Food ingredients Europe later this month, 28-30 November, Divi’s will present another product, AstaBead. Divi’s and Algalif have combined expertise to develop highly concentrated beadlets of natural astaxnthin.

Algalif’s production process, located in Iceland, uses renewable energy, and provides premium astaxanthin oleoresin naturally sourced from microalgae. Divi’s transforms this oleoresin into exclusive, easy-to-handle AstaBead beadlets that contain 5% astaxanthin, allowing smaller tablets and hard-shell capsules. AstaBead beadlets also show excellent performance in applications such as nutritional bars and fortified powder drinks.
