Divine Chocolate is set to launch a range of shareable Dessert Bars, which will be available on Amazon and its company website from 9 February, and Ocado from the beginning of March.
The new range encourages chocolate lovers to ‘do dessert differently’. Inspired by the flavours of popular and nostalgic puddings, the new range offers a shareable approach to after-dinner sweet treats as it taps into the rise of ‘edible escapism’; consumers looking for small treats to brighten their everyday.
With nearly a quarter (24%) of Waitrose shoppers enjoying a dessert at weekends and 30% confessing to buying more sweet treats than before, the range seeks to address this demand. It features three classic pudding flavours; Cherry & Almond Bakewell, Tiramisu and Lemon Cheesecake, in 100% dark, milk or white Fairtrade chocolate.
“We’re incredibly excited to be sharing our new range of Dessert Bars with fellow chocolate lovers. We know that in increasingly challenging times, the power of the ‘pudding effect’ is more evident than ever before, with people looking for small, tasty treats to brighten the day-to-day,” explained Sophie Loveday-Davies, Group Marketing Director at Divine. “Our mission at Divine is to spread a little joy with our deliciously decadent range of Fairtrade chocolate, so we’re delighted to now be able to offer consumers a Divine-worthy dessert with the launch of our Dessert Bar range.”
As a farmer-owned Fairtrade chocolate maker, Divine has been taking a different approach in the chocolate industry for over 25 years. As co-ownership of Divine belongs to a network of 100,000 farmers in the Kuapa Kokoo cooperative in Ghana, each bar of Divine purchased positively contributes to the future of these farmers.
