Coesia to participate in ProSweets 2024

During its centenary milestone, ACMA, a Coesia Group entity specialising in packaging solutions for fast-moving consumer goods, will be an active participant at ProSweets 2024, slated from January 28th to 31st in Hall 10.1 | Booth: G040 – H049. The focus will be on automation and sustainability, core elements of the Group’s strategy across the Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, and Cross Industry Automation sectors.

Responding to the surge in consumer demand for reusable and recyclable packaging amid labour shortages and rising production costs, Coesia unveils GREENMATION. Alessandro Parimbelli, Coesia’s CEO, believes that integrating automation and sustainability principles is the key to tackling profitability challenges in industries like Food & Beverage, Pharma & Personal Care, and Cross Industry Automation.

At the exhibition, ACMA will showcase three technological innovations: a robotic distribution system, the CW 600 multi-style packer featuring new double-protected bow packaging, and Material Gate—a testing unit for paper-based materials. Additionally, the event will mark the launch of the “ACMA CARES Programme,” a service aimed at bolstering customer support.

The robotic distribution systems, designed specifically for Confectionery, comprise “smart handling” systems for chocolate pralines, ensuring efficient handling and alignment within production lines. The CW 600, representing ACMA’s Confectionery portfolio, accommodates various packaging materials and formats, including the new protected double twist packaging designed to preserve aroma and shield products from external factors.

Material Gate, originating from ACMA’s Sustainability Lab, will also be showcased to experiment with sustainable wrapping materials for product testing. This unit assesses materials’ machinability and resistance to stress, aiding in the development of eco-friendly packaging solutions and ensuring compatibility with existing machinery.

ACMA CARES, another highlight, aims to enhance customer productivity and reduce maintenance costs. This program offers lifecycle extension solutions, model innovations, electronics upgrades, and adherence to safety standards while promoting environmentally responsible practices. Collaboration and partnerships with customers further drive technological advancements and the development of future machines.

Headquartered in Bologna, Italy, Coesia comprises companies excelling in innovative industrial and packaging solutions across diverse industries like aerospace, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive, food & beverage, consumer goods, among others.
