Advanced Tooling Systems UK Ltd (ATS), one of the UK’s engineering service providers to the automotive, aerospace, moulding and tooling industries which recently launched its Packaging Machinery division, has posted record sales of £2.35m in the first quarter of 2022, generated by both organic growth and exploration into new markets.
Sales for the first quarter exceeded those of 2021 by 70% and eclipsed ATS’s biggest ever previous quarter (2015) by more than 20%. Increases were seen in all divisions – Automotive, Aerospace, Moulding and Tooling, and the newly created Packaging Machinery.
Group Managing Director, Adrian Gander, is delighted with both the results and the tireless efforts of his team in achieving them.
“The last two years have been commercially testing for all businesses, but for ATS, investment and forward thinking have been the key,” he said. “We have continued investing more than £400,000 in our manufacturing capabilities, with new CNC manufacturing and moulding machinery, as well as the establishment of our Packaging Machinery division, which is already contributing to our profitability.”
ATS products and services are employed widely both in the UK and EMEA regions, and growth has been experienced in all sectors. Further success is forecasted for March, with confirmed orders already totalling more than £500k.
Gander added: “Clearly, challenges still lie ahead, but the ATS group management and our dedicated sales team have worked extremely hard at developing new strategies and leading-edge products to keep us at the forefront of technology, whilst developing an excellent, worldwide level of customer support.”
Established in 2003, the ATS Group’s capabilities include aerospace modelling, automaton equipment and fixtures, tooling and specialist machinery, design and prototyping, and moulding and assembly, offering a complete service that takes projects from initial concepts to delivered parts.
The company’s extensive manufacturing capabilities comprise CAD / CAM, CNC machinery, pattern making, mould tool manufacture, sheet metal fabrication, 3D-design, control system design and machine control software. It has three factories in the South East of England with satellite design, service and support facilities in the North, as well as a support operation in Asia.
