GNT will be showing visitors to ProSweets Cologne (running 23 to 25 April) how plant-based EXBERRY colours can be used to create eye-catching confectionery that taps into modern consumer demands.
The new generation of shoppers is searching for products with natural, sustainable ingredients that provide vibrant colours. The ‘Healthy Hedonism’ trend identified by the company is inspiring a rethink of what can be possible using natural colours in confectionery production from soft, pastel hues to combinations of bright, clashing shades.
At the event, GNT will demonstrate how EXBERRY colours can be used to deliver these bold shades in confectionery applications while matching up to expectations on the ingredients list. The colours are clean-label concentrates made from non-GMO fruit, vegetables and plants using physical processing methods.
“Inspired by Generation Z’s joy and creativity, Healthy Hedonism is a disruptive new trend that uses natural colour to deliver spectacular visual effects,” explained Petra Thiele, Managing Director for GNT Europa. “Our plant-based EXBERRY colours are available in stunning shades from across the spectrum, allowing manufacturers to create cutting-edge confectionery with completely clean labels.”
In a special edition, ProSweets is being co-located in ISM’s exhibition halls as part of a special edition and will cover all exhibition sections. This April, around 115 companies from 22 countries are expected to be in attendance, spanning both market leaders and smaller- and medium-sized suppliers.
