At ProSweets 2025 in Cologne, WDS showcased a ground-breaking innovation in mogul technology for gum and jelly products – the MogulPRO featuring a chainless pusher system. In addition to WDS’s versatile range of systems for confectionery production in various output capacities, the event also featured service and digitalisation solutions, along with the expanding SweetConnect partner network.
WDS was pleased to welcome an international audience and keen interest in the exhibited products and services from customers and trade fair visitors. MogulPRO – Machine innovation at the WDS stand
Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen GmbH is renowned in the industry for its continuous innovation and enhancement of established confectionery machines. At this year’s ProSweets, WDS unveiled the MogulPRO, a new machine concept. The plant features an exceptionally robust and reliable tray conveyor with a pusher system, optimised for maintenance and cleaning. A continuous door design and easy access to all key areas enable effortless spare part and program part replacement. Compared to other plant concepts, this plant is also shorter and narrower. In addition to the new mogul plant, WDS is presenting a completely new feeder and stacker without exposed chains. For the first time, this provides a real alternative to the industry-standard chain circulation in the mogul sector, ensuring high cycle rates and stable, precise tray guidance.
In addition to the development of the MogulPRO, WDS will also showcase the versatility of its plant range. From the laboratory scale to the large-scale plant, WDS offers confectionery machines tailored to all capacity and manufacturing needs. The international audience at ProSweets showed great interest in the mogul technology, starchless production of gum and jelly, as well as various chocolate moulding concepts.

The user-friendly WDS webshop enables seamless spare parts procurement. With detailed system documentation and a fully electronic spare parts catalogue, customers can place targeted and secure orders independently at any time. Thanks to a comprehensive inventory, response times are kept to a minimum. For any questions, the WDS service team is always available to assist – from troubleshooting to part installation.
SmartMould
The SmartMould measuring mould records and monitors mechanical influences on the polycarbonate mould, enabling the measurement and analysis of both process data and the overall mechanical condition of a confectionery system. Process data analysis, anomaly detection and trend data – even from hard-to-access areas – provide valuable insights into system status and support early preventive measures. WDS Service Manager Matthias Triesch is delighted with the strong interest in the sensor-equipped mould: “With SmartMould, we offer a solution that uses various sensors to assess the condition of the plant. The engaging discussions with our visitors and the projects that have developed affirm that our SmartMould solutions align perfectly with the current needs of the industry.”
