WDS to showcase digitalisation at ProSweets

Winkler und Dünnebier Süßwarenmaschinen (WDS) is happy to be returning to ProSweets in Cologne, Germany next year, as the trade show is running 28-31 January 2024. The main topics for the company will be its classic depositing technologies and further developments in hygiene for sensitive application areas. As part of the SweetConnect partnership, WDS will be demonstrating how the confectionery industry is being networked and digitalised.

Attendees to the company’s stand can expect to see depositor systems for all depositable and demouldable masses, reflecting the diversity of WDS’ plants. From the laboratory scale to the large-scale plant, WDS offers confectionery machines for all capacity and manufacturing requirements. For the OTC sector, WDS is presenting depositor systems made from stainless steel.

Due to the EasyClean design of WDS plants and the use of adapted service trolleys, operators can change parts that come into contact with mass as well as completely replacing a depositor system, for example for external cleaning or for a large variety of products using exchange systems.

High vertical integration and top-quality material processing will also be reflected in the dosing and process precision of WDS plants. WDS’ know-how and experience with varying masses and technologies enable the company to process masses with sensitive ingredient additions, which is particularly important in the area of OTC confectionery, supplements and nutraceuticals.

At ProSweets, WDS will be informing customers about completed customised solutions in a GMP-qualified design. This covers the entire value chain, from brainstorming and the development of individual confectionery products to specially adapted production processes.

As a WDS division, sweetOTC focuses on developing new depositing and moulding processes in confectionery production. WDS expanded its in-house technical centre a while ago to meet increasing demands.

Finally, WDS will be presenting SweetConnect at ProSweets, an online platform it is a founding partner of. SweetConnect will present ready-to-use digitalisation solutions tested by the industry at ProSweets in 2024.

SweetConnect is an open initiative that offers all interested companies the opportunity to participate and work together to shape the future of the confectionery industry. At the WDS trade fair stand, the team will provide information about how to benefit from SweetConnect as a user or partner.
