Ultimate indulgence: de Gournay and Rococo in sweet-tasting partnership

Two of London’s most illustrious brands partner to create the ultimate taste sensation

Collaboration between two of London’s most respectable design brands – de Gournay, creators of bespoke hand painted wallpaper and Rococo Chocolates – has resulted in the most delectable box of chocolates.

The box depicts de Gournay’s hand painted ‘Portobello’ Chinoiserie motif, filled with bamboo, flowering trees and ornate birds. Rendered in a custom blue tone with metallic accents, the arresting design pairs beautifully with Rococo’s handmade, award winning, couture chocolates.

De Gournay have cultivated an unrivalled reputation for their hand painted wallpapers and fabrics, reviving ancient motifs and original eighteenth-century techniques in the creation of their vibrant Chinoiserie painted papers. By contrast, Rococo’s award winning chocolate collection includes organic artisan bars in exotic flavours and hand-made couture chocolates.

Chantal Coady OBE, Rococo states: “I have always loved going past the de Gournay show room and admiring their eighteenth-century Rococo’period interiors – the stunning room sets are a source of inspiration for me. I am so delighted to be working with them on the first of this collection of beautiful boxes. Our companies have so much in common, we both value craftsmanship and perfection, pleasure and provenance.”

Too beautiful to throw away, the box can be re-purposed to house letters, photos or other small treasures.
