Swizzels debut the first ever Squashies TV ad

Swizzels, the beloved British sweet manufacturer, has unveiled its very first TV advert for Squashies. This exciting advert is the centrepiece of a new campaign designed to showcase the entire Squashies range and support the nationwide launch of the Strawberry & Cream flavour.

Throughout June, this national campaign celebrates Squashies’ status as the No.1 sugar hanging bag brand in the market. The animated advert stars Mr. Swizzels, the company’s popular mascot, who gives viewers a glimpse inside the factory to see how these favourite sweets are made.

The campaign includes 10- and 30-second adverts, airing across the country. It premiered during the final of Britain’s Got Talent, reaching a large audience. Additionally, Swizzels has introduced its first-ever Scottish TV sponsorship for Squashies, running throughout the summer and featured alongside prime content on STV in Scotland.

Swizzels continues to ride the wave of Squashies’ popularity, having opened a new factory in Cheshire last year to meet the growing demand. This TV exposure aims to boost the brand’s profile even further.

Clare Lynch, Senior Brand Manager for Swizzels, expressed her excitement: “We are thrilled to see Squashies on screen for the first time. We believe the fun, lighthearted animation will resonate well with Squashies’ fans across the nation.

“Squashies were created in 2012 by taking some of our fans’ favourite Swizzels flavours and making uniquely soft and foamy sweets. They’ve grown in popularity ever since, and we’ve added more fantastic flavours to keep the range exciting and appeal to a wider audience.

“Our TV advert, sponsorship, and accompanying social and sampling campaigns are the next steps in elevating the Squashies brand further. We encourage wholesalers and retailers to stock up on Squashies in anticipation of the increased demand.”

The full Squashies range includes Strawberry & Cream, Original Drumstick, Bubblegum, Sour Cherry & Apple, Rhubarb & Custard, and Banana & Blueberry.

The TV advert will be supported by a robust social media campaign across Swizzels’ channels throughout the summer, as well as national sampling activities.
