New chocolate cacao melts from Food Thoughts win coveted Great Taste Awards

Food Thoughts Pure Dark Chocolate 100% Cacao Melts and Food Thoughts Fine White Chocolate 35% Cacao Melts have both received the accolade of a 1-star award at this year’s Great Taste Awards. The popular foodie awards saw Food Thoughts receive a much coveted one-star award for two of its products. With over 12,722 entries this year, it was a record-breaking year for the competition which sees fine food brands vying for an award.

Comments from judges on the Pure Dark Chocolate 100% Cacao Melts included: ‘We can see the potential for baking in this intensively rich and bitter chocolate… an immediate bitterness which coats the mouth and has an intense, lasting flavour on the palate.’

Comments from judges on the Food Thoughts White Chocolate 35% Cacao Melts included: ‘Too beautiful for baking. Smooth and creamy with a really clean aftertaste. Good levels of sweetness and interesting notes of flavour with mild coffee and tropical fruits being apparent.’
