Inclusions specialist Pecan Deluxe Candy has unveiled a trio of appointments, based at its recently-launched state-of-the-art development hub in the popular Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, to inspire exciting new products for the Australian food sector.
Ruen Suganuma, one of the three new Business Development Managers announced by Pecan Deluxe, has seven years of experience with an international confectionary trading company and a retail bakery outlet and has a pastry chef qualification as well as a degree in marketing for which she studied in Australia. Her role is to create new opportunities in the region.
Taking charge of the local market and exports for the area is Paris Ratanasomruek, who has eight years of experience exporting to the United States, Europe and Asia plus two years working as a sales executive in the shipping industry. Paris’ brief is to strengthen relationships with the company’s existing customers through inspirational NPD.
Last but not least, Pintip Sevikul has been promoted to Business Development Manager after just under two years with Pecan Deluxe. Pintip, who has previous experience in the meat industry, will be pushing new ideas for commercial products across the Australian and New Zealand markets.
By bolstering its regional team with these three new recruits, the inclusions pioneer is confirming its commitment to inspiring Australian food manufacturers and food service operators to create new, innovative products for ice cream, beverages and food service in particular. Pecan Deluxe believes it has a world-class combination to deliver the next generation of flavours for ice cream, providing everything that a food company could wish for in terms of equipment – and of course one of the most talented New Product Development (NPD) teams in this part of the world.
Pecan Deluxe Managing Director EMEA and APAC, Graham Kingston said, “I’m delighted to announce the additions to our NPD team, based at our new state-of-the-art development hub overlooking one of Bangkok’s most exciting and vibrant street markets. We are continually investing in product development and anticipating trends, and our aim is to continue to push the boundaries for inspiring new, innovative products in the Australian and Asian markets – and of course working hand in hand with key customers to develop bespoke new product lines.”
Australian clients can join Pecan Deluxe’s NPD team at its R&D ideation facility for innovation days, or they can host their own creative sessions on the premises, where the influence of Asian themes is sure to deliver exciting new flavours and textures. The food tailor already supplies specialised ingredients to the Australian market that reflect indigenous flavours, including banana rice clusters, strawberry sprinkles, caramel sauce and plum sprinkles.
Pecan Deluxe was originally founded as an ice cream business, hence its outstanding reputation in the sector, and has since expanded into a wide range of dessert and confectionery markets. In Australia the food tailor works with trusted distribution specialist Hawkins Watts, which already has established supply relationships with many blue-chip food companies across the country. All Pecan Deluxe products – which include praline nuts, cookie dough, chocolate clusters, brownie pieces and a variety of sauces & toppings (MOQs apply) – are made using high quality ingredients in ISO certified and BRC B-Graded facilities. The company is constantly innovating to develop new flavour and texture options.
