Innovation Spotlight: Vision Guided Robotic Loader
The highlight of this year’s exhibition is Bradman Lake’s Vision Guided Robotic (VGR) loading system. This versatile, multifunctional system is showcased as part of an integrated flexible packaging line, seamlessly loading products into cartons or onto the infeed of a multi-pack flow wrapper.
“The VGR system demonstrates unparalleled versatility, allowing customers to achieve two packaging formats on one system,” a spokesperson said. It will be supplied with top load cartons formed on the HS Mini Single Head Former and closed using the RA60 Right-Angle Carton Closer. Additionally, the VGR will directly feed products onto the FT120 Flow Wrapper’s infeed, showcasing its multifunctionality.
Compact HS Mini Carton and Tray Former / Erector
Designed for space-constrained environments, the HS Mini Single Head Carton and Tray Former offers advanced functionality within a compact footprint. This machine delivers the ultimate flexibility to handle various carton formats and sizes, catering to fast-changing production requirements with quick changeovers and the ability to erect different styles of lock and glue cartons or trays.
Efficiency and Flexibility with the RA60 Carton Closer / Sealer
The RA60 Right-Angle Carton Closer, featuring Bradman Lake’s unique ‘Flexible Carton Control’ (FCC) technology, is another standout at the show. FCC utilises flexible rubber fingers to close cartons containing products of inconsistent size, preventing jams and reducing downtime. The tool-less size changeover capability makes the RA60 ideal for customers managing multiple carton sizes, maximising productivity and minimising production interruptions.
High-Efficiency Sealing with the FT120 Flow Wrapper
The FT120 Flow Wrapper is setting new standards for efficiency and seal integrity, handling a range of challenging heat-seal applications. This advanced machine features improved, backward-compatible flow wrap sealing technologies that accommodate recyclable, biodegradable, and single-substrate mono materials.
Equipped with a robust end crimp sealing module, the FT120 offers both hot and cold seal options, making it adaptable to diverse packaging needs. Bradman Lake’s Soft Jaw Technology prevents jams from misplaced products, and its intelligent features like “No Gap No Crimp” and “No Product No Bag” enhance productivity by reducing waste and preventing production stops. The FT120 operates at speeds of up to 1,200 packs per minute, optimising performance in modern packaging operations.
SL903 High-Speed End Load Cartoner with Cascade Loader
Also on display is the SL903 High-Speed End Load Cartoner, known for its robust stainless-steel construction and ability to erect, load, and close cartons within a single frame. Customisable with various optional features, the SL903 caters to specific customer requirements. The machine will be fed by the Cascade Loader, a system that efficiently collates, synchronises, and loads bagged products into the infeed pockets of the cartoner.
Integrated Solutions from Process to Pallet
Visitors to the Bradman Lake booth can view curated videos showcasing how its equipment integrates across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging processes, including product distribution, flow wrapping, cartoning, robotics, case packing, and palletising.
