Kai Hummel has been appointed Global Head of Corporate Communications for Barry Callebaut, effective 1 September 2023. He succeeds Christiaan Prins, who has been in charge of the department since January 2020. In his role, Kai Hummel will be responsible for external and internal corporate communications of the company worldwide and report directly to the company’s CEO Peter Feld.
Kai Hummel has a strong track record and extensive experience in corporate communications for both listed and private companies. He has represented global B2B and B2C companies.
More recently, he was responsible for Communications and Public Affairs at GfK, a market research company which recently merged with NielsenIQ. Prior to that, he headed the Communications and Public Affairs department at WMF Group.
Earlier in his career, he has spent several years in journalism and social media. He completed his education with a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and PR from Danube University Krems in Austria.
