London-based confectionery company SugarSin has entered the vegan confectionery market with the release of a wide variety of vegan gummies, officially approved by the Vegetarian Society.
The company, which produces cocktail-based gummies, have turned “firm favourites” into vegan versions including Gin Fizz which is citrus-flavoured infused with gin, and Sparkling Rosé, strawberry-flavoured paired with real wine.
“We want as many people as possible to enjoy our confectionery, so extending our range of vegan gummies made sense,” explained Jiten Shah, Owner of SugarSin. “We’ve spent the last couple of years working on a recipe that didn’t forfeit the quality or flavour of our gummies and after extensive research, we’ve cracked the code to indulgent vegan sweets which customers will love.”
New gummies which are available include Berry Bramble – tangy blackberry, cranberry and blackcurrant with lemon – Watermelon Mojito – watermelon with zingy lime and smooth vanilla – and Fizzy Tropical – pineapple, mango, passionfruit and kiwi.
“With the vegan confectionery market in the UK valued at US$3.7 billion, there’s certainly room for a new brand to take on some of the big players, especially as we know people of all ages love our signature gummies so much. We are seeing continual increasing demand from customers for vegan options,” Jiten added.
SugarSin’s vegan range is due to expand also.
“We gradually intend to transit some of our popular non-vegan gummies into vegan and also introduce more flavours to our current range of five vegan flavours,” he concluded.
The vegan gummies are available in 100g grab and go pouches or giftable 260g glass jars, priced at UK£3.50 and UK£7.
